The ACT San Diego Scholarship Program was established in 1975 to promote and encourage higher education in the field of theatre arts. The Scholarship is awarded yearly to high school seniors and college students majoring in any of the theatre arts.
The award requires the candidate to submit an essay and transcript with the application.
Scholarship selection is based on a number of criteria, including academic record, scholarship essay, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in community activities, honors, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and an outside appraisal. At least $300 and as much as $1000 will be awarded to the recipient.
